Kirstin Lund was recognized for her “dedication to the safety, rights, and opportunities of women, and for her community-building."
As stated on the Order of PEI website, “Kirstin Lund is known on the Island for tangibly improving the lives of others, both individually and through the many change initiatives and advocacy organizations she supports.”
Lund founded the PEI Coalition for Women’s Leadership in 2004. She has held many more advocacy roles in our community, including as chair of the PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women and co-founder of Justice Options for Women. She has also played an important role in promoting women’s sports, even founding the Red Rock ‘n Roller Derby, PEI’s first roller derby league.
Lund practiced law until 1996, when she transitioned her career to focus on mediation. As an entrepreneur, she has built a thriving business and changed the landscape of conflict resolution on PEI.
We are proud of PEI Coalition for Women’s Leadership founder Kirstin Lund on her receipt of the Order of PEI.
